PRESS RELEASE

On November 7th of the current year, H.E. Teodolinda Rosa Rodrigues Coelho, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola in Japan, received in audience H.E. Tetsuro YANO, former Senator and President of the Association for Economic Development of Africa and Japan, for a courtesy meeting aimed at establishing a partnership between the two countries.

The meeting also served for both individuals to address the strengthening of political and friendly relations with the aim of increasing high-level visits. They also discussed the need to continue working on enhancing economic cooperation, with a greater presence of companies from both countries, as well as the steps towards the establishment of the future Angola-Japan Chamber of Commerce, a forum that will promote greater interaction between entrepreneurs and investors.

During the meeting, which took place at the Diplomatic Mission in Tokyo, the two entities shared experiences and perspectives on the steps to be taken not only to promote tourism but also to establish a friendship group between both nations and a virtual and interactive cultural center. This center will facilitate greater proximity between the two nations and cultures.

It’s worth noting that His Excellency Tetsuro YANO is a friend of Angola, a country he is very familiar with, as he made his first visit to the country in 1994 in his capacity as a Senator.

Due to this friendship, he pledged to work and do his best to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in various areas and help create conditions for building an even stronger friendship and partnership between the two nations.
